Andrés Pociña

Biografia:
Catedrático de Filología Latina de la Universidad de Granada, de la que fue Decano de la Facultad de Filosofía y Letras y Director del Departamento de Filología Latina. Responsable del Grupo de Investigación HUM 318 de la Junta de Andalucía. Imparte las enseñanzas de Literatura latina (Grado) y Teatro grecolatino y su pervivencia en los teatros modernos (Máster). Investiga fundamentalmente sobre Literatura latina (diversos géneros); Pervivencia del teatro clásico; Literatura gallega; Poesía griega del siglo XX.

Biography:
Andrés Pociña Pérez (born in Lugo, 1947) is full professor of Latin philology at the University of Granada, where he has been dean of the Faculty of Philosophy and Letters and director of the Department of Latin Philology. In addition to leading the Research Group HUM 318 in Andalusia, he teaches on Latin literature and Greco-Roman theatre and their reception on modern stages. His research is fundamentally centred on Latin literature (diverse genres), the reception of classical theatre, Galician literature, and 20th-century Greek poetry.
