Biografia:
Doutor em Literatura pela Universidade de Aveiro, na especialidade de Literatura Grega, com a tese O Trímetro Sofocliano: variações sobre um esquema, publicada em 2010 (Lisboa, FCT/FCG). Professor do Departamento de Línguas e Culturas da Universidade de Aveiro, tem desenvolvido a sua principal investigação em literatura grega e na receção do teatro clássico. Neste domínio, publicou Máscaras Portuguesas de Antígona (Aveiro 2001) e vários estudos, em livros e revistas internacionais, sobre o mito de Antígona nas literaturas portuguesa e espanhola.

Biography:
Carlos Morais obtained his PhD literature from the University of Aveiro with a specialization in ancient Greek literature, defending a dissertation on “Sophoclean trimeter: Variations of a metric model,” published in 2010 (Lisbon, FCT/FCG). Morais is now a professor in the Department of Languages and Cultures at the University of Aveiro and has been conducting research about Greek literature, primarily on the reception of classical theatre. It was on this subject that he published “Portuguese masks of Antigone” (Aveiro 2001) and several other studies, in books and international periodicals, about the myth of Antigone in Portuguese and Spanish literatures.
