Biografia:
É doutorada em História Contemporânea e Estudos Internacionais Comparativos, pela Faculdade de Letras da Universidade de Coimbra. Professora de História dos Ensino Básico e Secundário, é investigadora integrada do Centro de Estudos Interdisciplinares do Século xx da Universidade de Coimbra-CEIS20. Autora de diversos artigos publicados em Portugal e no estrangeiro, tem como principais áreas de investigação a História da Cultura e da Ideia de Europa e a História Portuguesa e Europeia dos Séculos xix e xx.

Biography:
Clara Isabel Calheiros da Silva de Melo Serrano holds a PhD in contemporary history and comparative international studies from the University of Coimbra Faculty of Letters. Professor of the history of elementary and secondary education, she is an integrated researcher at the Centre for 20th-Century Interdisciplinary Studies at the University of Coimbra (CEIS20). Author of several articles published in Portugal and abroad, Serrano’s main research areas are the history of culture and the idea of Europe and 19th- and 20th-century Portuguese and European history.
