Doutora em História, especialidade em História Contemporânea, pela Faculdade de Letras da Universidade de Lisboa, com a tese Direitos Humanos em Portugal: Representações e Dissensões entre História e Utopia – 1755-1867. Mestre em Estudos Clássicos e licenciada em Línguas e Literaturas Clássicas pela mesma Faculdade. Investigadora do CLEPUL-FLUL e do Centro de Estudos Globais da Universidade Aberta. Vice-presidente de Direção do Instituto Europeu de Ciências da Cultura Padre Manuel Antunes. Atualmente é também gestora do projeto Dignipédia Global: Sistematizar, Aprofundar e Defender Direitos Humanos em contexto de Globalização (Programa Cidadãos Ativ@s/EEA Grants – Fundação Calouste Gulbenkian/Fundação Bissaya Barreto).
