Professor de História da Educação na Universidade de Parma. Privilegiando, na sua investigação, o século XVI, editou textos críticos e comentários de clássicos da educação dos séculos XVI e XVII, com particular relevância para a Companhia de Jesus. Atualmente é Visiting Fellow do “Institute for Advanced Jesuit Studies” do Boston College e Visiting Professor na “Lynch School of Education” do Boston College.

Cristiano Casalini is a professor of the history of education at the University of Parma. Concentrating his research on the 16th century, he has edited critical texts and commentaries on classics of education from the 16th and 17th centuries, with special relevance to the Society of Jesus. He is currently a visiting fellow at Boston College's Institute for Advanced Jesuit Studies and a visiting professor at Boston College's Lynch School of Education.
