Nascido no Porto em 1975, é autor de sete livros de poesia publicados entre 2002 e 2016, entre os quais Revólver, Corvo, Um Arraial Português e Estrada Nacional. É também autor de ensaios, teatro, crítica literária, artigos científicos e ficção infantojuvenil, estando representado em diversas publicações e antologias. Traduziu poesia e ficção de Paul Auster, Pablo Neruda e Samuel Beckett, entre outros. Com Jorge Reis-Sá, foi responsável pela organização, selecção, introdução e notas da obra Poemas Portugueses: Antologia da Poesia Portuguesa do Séc. XIII ao Séc. XXI (Porto Editora, 2009). É doutorado em Literaturas e Culturas Românicas – especialidade em Literatura Portuguesa – pela Faculdade de Letras da Universidade do Porto. Integrou a direção da Fundação Eugénio de Andrade. Foi assessor parlamentar na Comissão de Ética, Sociedade e Cultura da Assembleia da República e docente na ACE - Escola de Artes. Trabalha atualmente no Parlamento Europeu, entre Bruxelas e Estrasburgo.

Born in Porto in 1975, Rui Lage is the author of seven books of poetry published between 2002 and 2016, including Revólver, Corvo, Um Arraial Português, and Estrada Nacional. He is also the author of essays, theatre, literary criticism, scientific articles, and childrens fiction, being represented in various publications and anthologies. He has translated poetry and fiction by Paul Auster, Pablo Neruda, and Samuel Beckett, among others. With Jorge Reis-Sá, Rui Lage was responsible for the organization, selection, introduction, and notes of the work <em>Portuguese Poems: Antologia da Poesia Portuguesa do Séc. XIII ao Séc. XX</em> (Porto Editora, 2009). He holds a PhD in Romance literature and cultures – specialisation in Portuguese literature - from the Faculty of Letters of the University of Porto. A former member of the board of the Eugénio de Andrade Foundation, he was a parliamentary advisor to the Ethics, Society, and Culture Committee of the Portuguese Parliament and a lecturer at ACE - School of Arts. He currently works in the European Parliament, between Brussels and Strasbourg.
